But it was in 2023 that Alex truly cemented his legacy. With 118 tackles—70 of them solo—he earned an All-PFL First Team selection and posted the second-highest single-season tackle total in PC’s Division I history. His ability to make game-changing plays was on full display throughout the season, including a 16-tackle performance against Marist that earned him PFL Defensive Player of the Week honors. He followed that up with another 16-tackle game at Davidson, continuing a streak of six consecutive games with double-digit tackles. His 97-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown against Morehead State was the longest defensive play in school history, highlighting a season filled with record-breaking moments.
Alex’s success on the field is matched by his dedication in the classroom, where he was named to the All-PFL Academic Second Team as a Business Management major. Throughout his career, he has been driven by a desire to make his family proud, constantly motivated by their support to be great. As he continues to climb the ranks of PC’s all-time greats, Alex Herriott remains a testament to hard work, determination, and the pursuit of excellence.
